About the lecturer

Michael Kirchler was born in 1977 in Tyrol, Austria. Today he is Professor as Finance at the Department of Banking and Finance, University of Innsbruck, and Visiting Professor at the Centre for Finance, Department of Economics, University of Gothenburg. He is also the speaker of the SFB (Spezialforschungsbereich; Special Research Unit) Credence Goods, Incentives and Behavior and a recipient of the START-grant of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). Michael co-founded the Society for Experimental Finance and is an associate editor of the Journal of Economic Psychology. He has published in Science, Management Science, the Journal of Finance and the American Economic Review, among many others.
